Margaret, Thanks for you comments. At this particular event, the action is very fast and the subjects are always in motion. My main objective for the day was to capture street portraits. I preset my camera to most likely capture good face detail with a blurred backgrounds. With my camera set up, I focus on the action coming down the street and try and to get a clean shot. There is not a lot of time to fiddle with the camera. I have found if I am patient and stick with the plan, I am more likely to get more acceptable images. In this case the image I think the image is stronger when closely copped on the main subject. This example needs some fine tuning, but I think it is moving in the right direction. |

Your image is a very nice street scene. It looks like a great day for a visit! The exposure is perfect and you have good detail throughout the image. I love living history venues. It make me want to go there. |

This is a very lovely image. I agree that you should straighten the horizon. To my eye the lighthouse has a slight tilt. |
