Valarie, I like the subject (beautiful icon). The image may be stonger by just cropping in a bit. You may have been working with the clouds? In my example I also warmed up the image to bring out the golds in the wood carving and the grass on the hillside. |

Beverly, I really like the subject, but I am not a fan of the Topaz approach for this image. In my opinion the Topaz graphic treatment distracts from the personality of the woman. She has such an open honest face and an engaging smile. The use of the Topaz filter may have been bit heavy handed in an attempt to remove artifacts in the orginal image. That said , I applaud trying a creative approach to bring an image to life.

Sharon, Thank you for your comments. The left hand is holding reference drawing of the orginal art work. I did not include it because I wanted to crop closer on the subject and felt constrained by the maximum size of the image. |
