Here are a few changes to the image based on your comments. I blended in a new background to remove some of the distractions. A clone tool was used to reduce the rim lighting on the hat. While I was at it, the skin color was corrected. |

Sean,
Nice job on delivering on your vision for the image. I like the birds you added, but the group on the right seem to take my eye away from the center of the photo. I wonder if you could use the flying birds to direct the viewer's eye back to the light?

Nice subject. Bev's filter does improve the image. I think the action is center of the flower. Anything to improve the shapness and contrast in this area helps the image. |

I like the detail in the shadows. Mid day photos can be challenging. It may be helpful to reduce the exposure in the bottom part of the image and try and warm to warm up a bit. |

Beverly, Great subject with the face paint. The face is soft. I imagine it was very difficult to get sharp shot in with the movement and low light. |
