Nice job on improving the orginal image. I have tried a number of similar photos and have come away disappointed. Since there is no central focus point ... it seems that you are trying to recreate the mood of the scene. I think yo have accomplished that. There seems to be some reds in the green foreground.. it may be possable to increase the richness of the photograph by working with the red saturation. |

I love the colors. The transition between the green grass and the darkened backgound looks a little strange. You may try a few other ideas.. add more feather to your selection, desaturate the background , add blur or use any combination of these techniques. |

Margaret, Thanks for you comments. The man's face filled the entire frame of the photo, it would be difficult to pull back and capture more of the man's hat. I think a different composition may risk loosing the connection with man's eyes. Several other people commented on cloning out the white shirt... are you refering to the sleeve or the collar? |
