I agree with Les, the photographer acts as a leading line to the main story. Perhaps a couple of steps backward and we would have some space between shoulder and frame. You caught a great event with an interesting story that is happening within the story. Wonderful. |

I'm drawn to the cloud in center. Often times your pics are of simplicity leaving interesting dead space and balance for the imagination to study and interpret. They are great. Here I see a basketball player shooting "hoops" and the dead space holding a soft cloud. Was the cloud, the streetlight and the statue intentional? |

Oh no! I doubt alligators can be trained. How she escaped losing an arm and camera is beyond me.
I agree the lighting is flat and even. Probably gray overcast sky and you were able to capture the gator's tough and sharp leathery skin.

Striking! The lighting, the lines and the single person, all combined making for a great photo. The image definitely has that wow factor. You even caught a ghostly figure in the window above. |

Thank you for the "setup details" and why camera setting were selected. I agree with Daniel and Gloria, the square with in a square makes a powerful composition. I try to imagine the photo with out post and beside filling an otherwise dead spot I agree the post necessarily adds stability. I would be tempted to a b&w conversion. A lot of forethought, planning and work. Well worth it. A great photo. |
