I've experimented with SB700 Speedlights and conclude I'm going to need much more powerful and not portable, flash set ups to overcome the mid day sun. Even the shade of trees allow hot spots to beam through. By adding light and exposure I see more detail in bench and shirt ... did you make those adjustments to exposure and shadow? |

Thank you Gloria
I must say, i got the pic and smiled with satisfaction when I later viewed in camera. However, after processing and viewing on computer I found there was something about it that made me uncomfortable. The wide angle lens has proved to be my favorite and thanks to your tips I will be cognizant of the angle and my position. Thank you! |

When just reading email as your critique came in. Yes, wide angle lens and now I see the distortion. Very good! How do I avoid and can it be corrected? |

Liz, I like the photo scene/setup. There is a lot of interesting railroad memorabilia and each photographer is capturing the scene in his own way. Where I might have used the rails as lead in lines, you chose to use the rails to provide for a strong base and I think it works well. "Train Workshops?" Interesting! |

My immediate reaction ... Wow!
Very cool and perhaps greater depth of field would have helped keep both handbag and woman in focus. A good catch and I'm left wanting to see more of the woman's lower torso, perhaps even her feet. It's good and deserves to be revisited.

I love it! The classic car is beautifully set in front and below the rectangular cement columns and vertical blinds of windows provide a pleasant and contrasting background of modern Havana. The passing motor bike gives me a sense of motion. It's warm and interesting and appealing. Good job. |

I love Mongolian Barbecue and I might hesitate purchasing from this vendor. Hip shot ... good job! And we see comfortable space to the left with the waiting dog and smoking woman completing the story while effectively providing the environment and destitute condition. Posting the original is a good idea As it helps to study the image and learn from the cropping techniques. |
