In my opinion this type of close up needs to be SHARP.

I agree with Jack.....not sure what the head is for and it bothers me that the man is walking out of the photo leaving empty space on the right. Curious cropping ? Good tonal gradation and contrast. |

Ed,
I like the feel of this shot, telling a story of the quiet
almost lonely harbour, knowing the Coast guard is ever ready.
Nice reflection and leading lines ! I like photos I can spend time seeing all they have to offer as opposed to a single subject ! Very nicely done ! |

The centered horizon is wonderful because of the great sky
and there is enough light in the canyon to give it great detail. Very well done ! |
