The setting is very common with this bird ...it buries itself in the foliage when feeding on Kowhai blossoms or in this case leaves. So to me Messy environment is exactly where and how you often see Kereru. I waited a long time for the bird to emerge. I will send another head view next time. The sun and colours are untouched. thanks |

Backsides and birds yep already said I like the setting and the wave action. Focus on anything in flight is a challenge. |

Again late to the party but the cropped version is dramatic....In a past life I was a zoo curator and we had tigers amazing animals. they don't purr but chuff at you (through the wire) They are an intense animal and that is captured in the eyes. The paw in the pond adds to the "in-the-wild: sense. The reflection is brilliant ....amazing |

WOW On a recent trip to Fiordland Waterfalls were abundant I agree the last image is tops. The soft flow techniques are fun to learn this shot has the challenges of dark rocks but you have highlighted the details well done (as always) |

I vote for the cropped version (our club rules here would not go for that EITHER). The eye does seem a bit lost due to the dark plumage as well . Intense view
good stuff |
