Thanks for all the encouragement ....We all have disasters with our gear mostly to our stupidity. My story is the 810 was severely damaged when it fell out of the truck $1500 WORTH. yikes. Thankfully Insurance will repair it but fit of economic insanity I bought a 850 and will flick the 810 on when it is returned for repair. the 850m has huge capability now I need to master that. |

I really like the colors .... the "arrow" effect" moving right to left. At the risk of being too Metaphysical .... There is order and symmetry on there right flowing to the "chaotic " nature of the branches ....nice
Goo the bugs were high.. we get a midge hatch and if you leave the car window a jar you hav a car full of bugs

Nice capture .... shadows and light tracks are always a challenge. Like to cocked her of the Doe ...checking out another noise gives a sense of "on the alert". The Fawn is taking it in and both ears are directed you way. The deer are in the focus plane the vegetation is slightly muted which draws my ear the the animals .... Good work |

I have now ordered a L bracket and considering a panning head to try time lapse. so just when you think you are set some new challenge comes along

Your predator comment makes me wonder if some of those dark spots in the grass.... anyway African Sunset is great captures the beauty and mystery for me .
Draws you into the environment then you react to it with the realisation it has some beasts (somewhere). It is simple intense and creates that feeling .
I am not the expert of post processing perhaps playing at lighting or brightening the foreground. Not sure I would add critters cos it is the mystery of the image knowing they are out there. Perhaps it is best as is Good stuff Brenda |

Very unique choice this round. I ,like Brenda felt a bit distracted the tree has been cut. The contrast from the dark rock is great. The story is also interesting the tide range there is world class and to think walking at low tide (perhaps watching the clock and over the shoulder) these plants can grow in that environment. I like the little flicks of green you find digging deeper. Nice

One of my favourites and amazing sharpness I found a recording to replay as the picture enables you to almost hear the call. Background muted bird and branch sharp and well lite even a sparkle in the eye ......Great shot . I miss RWBs thanks for the shot and the memory |

Cheers Mervyn
I went back to the Raw image to recheck the time and I made a mistake..... it is 3 seconds. I did use some post shadow/highlighting as noted. The moon was at right angle to the rock formation and very bright almost no headlight required. cheers |
