it is a bird and perhaps removal could be an option ...I left it ....and knowing it was a bird adding a wee bit of life to a gloomy setting ?? |

Hi Brenda. Not sure this one works for me to be straight up but you have created the "old photograph" effect well. The Castle and swirling sea with hints of green are nice
Looking to the horizon ..... are the Vikings coming ? I can appreciate the rock in the foreground is an edge to be avoid ...so well done to stay back . There is a side of me that wants to look over the edge. I should have a better fear of heights than I do

These ducks are fun to watch. I recall one landing a "tripping over a wave" doing a back flip and popping up as if to say " I planned that" I see the benefit of cropping with room to the right to swim into. I suspect this is at a distance but still enjoy it

A mysterious canyon with distant cloud below the glow. and.... a Heron or Stork -like cloud in flight. ( maybe think ing too birds after Merv and Candy's submissions) I like the effect that the dark sky and dark foreground creates drawing you into the picture looking more closely at the features of both land and sky ... I first thought whoa.....a bit dark but it is interesting when one studies it more . I get that feeling of pre dawn.... cheers (golly I hope that does not sound too meta physical) |

Nest building time I recall these guys during my time in Florida. Prehistoric and able to life logs! I find the clarity around the head no clear eye but hard to get that the angle. I agree the branch shape adds some elements. Neat stuff |

A beauty !!! I like the display of feathers in the open wings !~!.. The colour version is great as well but the B/W really Glows. Well Done Candy. The puff of cloud near the head is my only distraction as it tended to draw my eye away .... NICE |
