Puget Sound!!! Tugs a bit on heart strings of memories... NICE PHOTO You have captured the mood of the morning . I like the transition for the light left to right light to dark ...the lights are HARD to see but if removed could enhance a "wilder more natural " scene
Funny for me the tree seems a bit out of balance almost a distraction. It seems to block the eye and mind from traveling through the gap and into the beyond
A slight crop again from the bottom ?? was a thought but I like the way you have it
Great mood shot and for one the grew up around the Sound creates a good memories....Photos are to evoke feelings and you have for me cheers

WOW. again the magic and skill of post process....the focus is stunning the colors eye and scales. I got a picture of a South Island Fernbird with rush stem in its face I will use it next month I need to improve my skills in remove distractive elements

I feel the mockingbird chill the greyness adds to that effect as well but the look ...it is that "I am cold and if you make me fly look I will poop on your windshield "

I think Green Heron are my favourite of the Herons. Well done!
The light highlights the bird well and draws you to the eye
the action is evident in the drops and the swirl in the water by the rear right leg.
My comment (and this is coming from "the-need-to improve-cropping kid" is....
Cropping up the bottom could be done without major distraction. Great Shot Mervyn |
