Nice work ...... I like the de-warmed second version. The bird does appear agitated
Erect posture and open slightly open beak. I suspect it clicked at you
I too was not in favour of the 3rd version ..... I appreciate the others comments on opacity and tone.
Great horned Owls are a critter to behold. Rehab photo opportunities can be great and well done on the tether removal. Often raptors can have the imaged distracted with jesses |

Flight mode with Dragons are tough to get and congratulations for the FB selection.
I really like the sense of movement and space in front (good example of a clever crop) The details in the wing and body are great.
My only comment was my first impression were about the background. it dominated and then the dragon "appears" so a once of depth? is created but I wonder toning down the background would assist in creating a first impression priority on the Dragon ... Hope that makes sense. Very Nice photo!! |

Brrrr cold !! This is clearly conveyed in the humped ..tucked posture ... dusted by snow really captures the sense of temperature (or lack of it.
Great eye level shot and I concur with the eye highlights as suggested. |

Spider Monkey (Spider monkeys are New World monkeys belonging to the genus Ateles). This is an older animal ....you can see the teeth appear worn , they can live nearly 50 years based of zoo records. (I used to be a zoo curator Christchurch) and we had Spider monkeys.
The capture is very excellent!! Expression in the face of Primates is amazing and these guys can make a noise.
Varying the highlights as suggested as good points. Well Done |

Amazing picture Mervyn !!!
My first impression was slightly hidden in terms of the lightness but I understand that the shadow highlights the morning light. I like the lighten version as the critter is more distinct from the background |
