She is resting ......a passive look and perhaps a hint of a full belly after cleaning from a feed or is she with kitten?? Paws at rest but remains positioned to move if needed. Great capture... (What a nice guy to buy you a camera and take you on a safari).
The wood splinter off the right shoulder perhaps turn it green ?? You could get away with trimming some up from the bottom with losing the background story too much , however the impression of height adds to the majesty of the critter.

A polariser would create a different image I think. I like the transition of air and water the reflection brings to their picture. it ia good shot from a perspective not often held. the ripples add action and setting as well I like it !!
You can see why the feather are soaked and they spend a large part of their day drying off

I too agree with the group on the second image being the best. I am have little experience with night sky work, but have some friends in the Nature Photographers group that are amazing and the best ones show the contest with the landscape.,
We have some amazing night vistas in NZ na d I may give it a go Well done |

My computer was out of commission due an up date Glitch and my work account got hacked so hopefully all back now
