Light is the magic we try to get Well done. We don't have desert setting in New Zealand so I enjoy the tones and exposure of the layer rocks and canyons. It is amazing how crowded some key spots can get eh?

I agree with Brenda cropping those left side distractions would be a good idea. Amazing to see this many and that is the impact of the photo and the setting.

Great to hear the story ....this is truely a being there at the right time and place. The blurred background is perfect as is the focus. Fox are amazing critters. A a boy I found a fox den and spent some hours watching the kits and parents. cheers |

Wood Stocks are amazing. Good work repositioning that is an interesting option. I shall consider that on any shot crowding the margins.....good Ideas

The B&W does add a powerful effect make you feel the temperature. The light on the glacier is great. Dramatic. Well done |

Hi
Thanks for the notes we have a range of opinion of this shot. I found the eye catch interesting and have tried a very small whitish dot via Ps. Sorry Dean this is a female dotterel and to add further colour is not in keeping with what the bird looks like so I disagree there. My focus is on trying to do as little to change the appearance of the bird but focusing on how bring out the display via cropping back ground vignette etc. I like Pierre's suggestion of lower angle and I will consider that. Thanks all I do appreciate the imputes. cheers |
