Lucky you to get close enough to get this shot. Also, get up early enough to catch the light on the bird, definitely worth every time.
Command you on the patient to keep looking for a suitable background to take the shot. That's what I have to work on especially, I'm with bird in wild. Alway rush into a shot.
Concurs with darken the front rock, that bring our attention to the bird. Keep up, and take more of it. love it. |

Sorry, I lost my reading glass, can't see clearly as the image requires and comments,
However, I like the overall composition, the light and color, and the post proc, brought out extra textual on the background. 35mm prime should get sharper as nail, unless the image was taken with focus point(s) more on the back elements than the fore front as the book title. That might be my only concern that the not so sharp front objects, just check the meta of image see where's the focus point actually at. |

So so fun to see this! Thank you Don!
Since learn that Cactus exist in a sand dune preserve in Chicago land, I have been trying for years to see it, to see Cactus bloom, and either too early or too late, haven't got to see it, nor take a picture of it.
Now back to image, I image when you shoot this, the focus point was at the flower, thus bee was intruding your master piece, thus out of focus, (further closer to lens). Unusual rendering of the image. Does the Eclipse tool has 'feather' option, that might help to smooth over the rendition(?) |

thanks, wasn't plan on a wildlife encounter. should have faster shuttle speed and frame it a little better. I'd try the closer crop later, |
