thanks the comments and encouragement. However, winter days, sunrise is much later than summer, still out of warm bed, always struggle. However, I rarely did sunset or night shots like you, that's devotion also. |

Splendid night shot, the curve, stronger light got my attentions, and until I read about Ray's comment, notice the grey stuff at the left end, and the enhanced image by you does nicely. :) when you have a chance, also darken the reflection in the water. hehe. |

do you have LightRoom, turn on lens correction, that should do it. I have the same gear, it's visible what it can be fixed. if you don't like the fix, just turn off the correction in LR. |

great photo, tighter crop work better to direct more focus on horse than surroundings, Cindy's crop look good. I also think sun light is a bit harsh, thus earlier might be better. Also I notice that you have shot this image with 70-200mm @100mm, since you have some more reach on the lens, might want to try that @200mm, or closer to, thus fill more of the frame with horse. Just my 2 cents. |

good capture, while I would suggest to shoot earlier or later, so the light wouldn't be that harsh, thus avoid blown out. In this case, although, image still have a lot of details on wing/feather, but miss a lot of the details on heron's head and eye. I know I'm lazy and sleep in more in winter time, it's hard to get out to shoot in the cold. :P |

An interesting and creative image, love it. Nice clean line and preserving the values of original B&W.
And thanks for sharing, I'd never tried that kind of capturing nor the way of using PS, thanks again for enlightening. :)
I'd tried those and let you know my thoughts. |
