Thanks, Richard. Since this is the beginning of growth, not a lot of kind to choose from. Notice, Oak leaf and others are frozen in ice too, not much I can do, beside walk around to find the best view for it. Guess my next act is to PS out that leaf, and see what it looks like, just not in Nature division... |

Thank Ed, was my first time out this cold too, but once you're out there, wasn't bad at all. But it was hard to first to find it, and find it properly situated so that the skunk cabbage was in the stream where I can lay down flat to take a shot from ground level to reveal the ice, skunk cabbage, etc.
Now, I can cross that off my bucket list. :)

Wonderful, nicely done.
If anything, would darken a bit the left lower corner reflection in the water. Also wonder if move the swan a little bit closer to the bridge, closer to the lighted area, see if you like it better?! |

Nice capture, nice try to get this far with it. However, sever crop hurts details etc. have to get closer for that, sorry. |

Richard, nice capture, and nice post proc. About the bright working light, would be better to darken a bit. Recently, I have been learning and using 'luminosity mask', kind of nice for this, just to modify only the highlight area. |

Ed, nice capture, and post proc! would like to make a little suggestion, dial back a bit on the light on the hair of the lady on left. The shadow, details on her is wonderful. just my thought. |

Thanks, Don, 1), laying flat on the little stream water (ice) bed, it's rolling down stream, from left to right, but forest/bank is rising from left to right, perhaps that's how it's. 2) debate a bit about left space, just like the leading line, so I left it as is. I'm open to hear some comments on this... |

haha, water, trim the leaf.
The background chain link fence has already DQ this photo as 'Nature'. might as well make it work for you. My opinion :) |

Nice capture, I have never seen one done. Thanks for sharing!
As for the photo, I would crop in further from the right, as it's dark, not adding much value to the story. This would focus some more onto the sheerer, and the sheep.
About floor, darken the highlight on the floor, and add light to the sheep and around the hand a bit to highlight what he's doing.
Overall, a nice nature story. |

I'm impressed that you have brought out something visible from the original at all. Just curious what's histogram look like on the original? overexposed? or underexposed? |
