I'd love you to check out my 11/24 image trying to remove the blue steps and remove the light more carefully, and see if you see anything that doesn't feel right. Thanks! |

Ed caught a couple of mistakes on my staircase--the railing was messed up from removing a light and the stairs were really blue.
The blue was from light coming in the colored window, but I agree it was distracting.
I started over and reworked the image. I found some additional dust/junk that I removed. It was an easy fix to remove the light carefully and not leave "tracks" where I had taken it out.
The blue steps were more work-- I used Camera Raw to darken exposure and drop highlights and saturation to the steps. I also cloned some brown from other steps. It's not perfect, but I think its less distracting and more believable its just light on the steps.
I'd love your feedback on if you think I still need to fix this and where. Thanks! |

Thanks, Jim! I do think the blue ties in nicely with the blue floor at the center, but I did mess up the railing in the removal, and I'll see if I can be more tidy a second time around.
I don't think the blue shadow on the steps was from the light, but I'll take a deep look on fixing it. |

Like your revision, Jim! The heron is still hidden, and the wood loop adds interest! |

I appreciate your enthusiasm Jo-Ann! I agree Ed found a big flaw. I'll wait to see if any other members have any suggestions before I redo it. Thanks! |

Love your idea, Ed! How does one add barrel distortion? |

Ed, it is a dilemma! I am sure it was so gorgeous, but its tricky to bring that out.
I selected subject and added some yellow, texture and clarity. I then cloned a bit of the left sky over the the right side.
I like yours better than mine. But it was a fun experiment. |

Robert, I'm glad you are enjoying my old stomping grounds. New England does have amazing leaf changes.
I photographed my entire trip to Europe with an iphone 14 Pro and every image has won on my Facebook competitions! So surprising! I do use LR and PS to process them.
I've played with your image just a bit. I love the composition, but I thought I'd add more color and soften it to make a more romantic landscape. |

What a beautiful image! You've captured the model in a flattering pose and her scarf is moving nicely. The poetry posters add a lot and cleverly hide the pool. Thanks for your explanation on how you captured this!
It's really lovely, but here are a couple of possible changes.
A couple of tiny distractions--on the left side there are some tiny bubbles by her head that might be good to remove.
At the very top, her hair from her reflection is distracting and you might replace it with some bubbles.

Congrats, JoAnn! I wanted to make your village a bit more romantic, as the zillion wires were distracting. I removed the partial pole on the left side. I removed some of the sky since it was plain.
I did just a quick wire removal, it's not perfect. And I used a NIK Soft Landscape filter to soften everything and make it a little more picturesque.
How nice to see the Atlantic every day! I hope your new place is fabulous! |

Very clever of your Great Blue Heron. They hold still and grab fish. The water looks a bit deeper than they like.
I like the "invisibility" of your subject. Animals do this and we usually make the animal show up more. But you've made it more invisible. It could be a great photo series. "Where in the world is the animal?"
No suggestions, bravo! |

I like reading about your decision process and I agree with all your choices. On my monitor, the golden grass seems just a bit bright. And the green trees and green grass seems a bit too green. I think darkening it a bit would just enhance it.
It's a lovely image! |
