Thanks, Mervyn! What do you think about lightening the water to a more medium blue like in Pierre's version, would that help? |

Thanks so much, Geoff! Take a look at my 2/16 rendition and see what you think. Maybe lighten the water to look like Pierre's version? |

I basically copied your look as best I could, Candy! LOL! Any additional suggestions on my 2/16 rendition? Maybe lighten the water, as Pierre did? |

Mervyn, what do you think about cropping the comorant's tail that I posted on 2/16? I could also lighten the water, if that would help? Thanks! |

Pierre, I love the look of your bigger scene, and I think you got a lot of contrast in the scene with your adjustments. I went more Dean's way, which I think is more powerful. What do you think? See my 2/16 post. Thanks! |

Dean, I think you are correct about cropping in. See my new version below and let me know if you can "follow the story" now, or if it's just too difficult to see what is going on? |

I think losing the bird's tail and leg and going in for the action was the best plan for me. I've added clarify and opened shadows on the bird and fish. Thoughts on my redo (almost a copy of Candy's version)? |

I really like the changes you made to the single skier and I think you could compete with it. And I think you could also compete with your group of skiers, too! I gotta try to get those landings! Is 1/1000 sec a good starting place?
I am going to be in South Texas in mid April. I'm shooting birds at South Padre Island and I'm shooting at Laguna Seca bird site, both with Adam Jones, Canon Explorer of Light. My email is BrendaFishbaugh@gmail.com. Let me know your area and maybe we can meet.

What a great capture! No wonder they call it a Jesus Bird, it looks like its dancing over the water! Unfortunately, it seems a bit out of focus. If you have AI Sharpen, it will fix this up nicely! You might want to burn down the white flowers, as they look hot. I'd love to see one of these! |

What a great revision to an ordinary alligator. T love your textures and deeper, richer water. The plant on his nose is the cherry on top! |

I like your idea on this. I think your three ducks on the right all facing the same way, so you may want to crop a vertical on the right side. Oh, I like the water reflection, where they are blurry. |

Oooh, it gets me excited for my trip to South Padre island in April! I love the moment you've caught...floating along on the surface.
I think you could trim a bit from the top to bring us closer to the action. And I might darken the bright spots on his wing edge, chest and legs, since I'm not seeing any detail there. Those darn white birds!
If its allowed in your competition rules, I would remove the duck under the wings, since he's distracting. Darkening the water might make it feel a bit richer, too. Fabulous moment! |

I love how you got low and we are seeing the underside! Super crisp and clean. The green at the bottom adds a nice texture. I'm not sure what the brown to the right front and to the left back is, but it looks great and adds to the composition.
Is your white stem a tad hot? You might want to darken the stem so we look at the gills. Love it! |
