Phenomenal photo! What brilliant colors! I agree the top flower crowds your bee a bit. Beautiful work! I'm not a macro photographer, so I don't have any suggestions, but I just love it. |

Wow, cannot imagine how you shoot such fantastic crisp shots of moving birds! Beautifully done. I'd love to see one of your amazing textures with such a spectacular photo.
Our Costco is over that direction--perhaps we can meet when we are in Sebring November-May. I'd love to see how to do what you do! |

Dean, these changes look awesome on my traveling laptop! I'm in northern Indiana half the year, we should see if we can meet up next spring, I'm less than 5 hours from you. Or meet at a scenic spot and shoot together! |

Thanks, Merwyn! I do think that helped a lot! I also like Candy's treatment. Both are big improvements!

Wow, I do see how he's "walking", so your photo does tell a story. Your lines are really nice with the wings and legs complementing the reeds.
I think Dean's suggestion is a good one to try, as the reeds leading lines will be even stronger.
My biggest concern on a wonderful shot is that he seems a bit soft. I wonder if its due to not enough shutter speed for such a big lens. |

Wow, Dean, lovely work, and a favorite of mine! What lake are you on?
On my laptop (on a Viking Ocean cruise), the grass and tree branches look a bit blocked up, but I'll wait to hear if anyone else has that issue. I do love the framing you created! The yellow seems a bit intense. Ideally, I'd love to see the sunset more on the Rule of Thirds, but your framing is wonderful, so I wouldn't crop.
Jealous of your sunsets! |

Mervyn,
This might be my favorite photo of yours and has me yearning for Florida!
A great pic, and the water droplet is fabulous. Nice catch light in the eye. I really like the water movement below, also.
Being picky, I'd look to selectively sharpen the feathers a bit more, I think the f/6.3 hurt you a tad. I'm distracted by the noise (?) or dirty water above the bird's head. I'd be tempted to smooth it, blur it, or burn it so it doesn't distract from his eye and bill.
I wish you had his complete reflection, but I know how tough that is. Awesome job. |

Dean, the juvenile snow leopard leaped off the ledge to attack something moving on the ground, I'd say it was a 20' fall. Easily landed on all four paws and went after its prey. |
