I love this, Rob, and it reminds me of an older Audubon etching or old film print. The beak is just spectacular--and how it connects with it reflection beak. The ripple adds a bit more interest, as does the fuzz standing up on his neck. I understand Candy's desire for more contrast, but I am in love with your original version. |

Your processing is always awesome, Candy. I really like that you warmed up the image a tad and used a composite. The foreground rocks lead us to the reflection and then the mountain. The boaters are discreet and I had looked at it a couple of times before I saw them. Beautiful depth of field. Were you on a tripod? |

The feathers are my favorite part, beautiful lines within the feathers, and nicely in focus. I have to agree with Candy that around the eye is a bit soft and the pic needs something extra to make it a true winner. The sky seems a bit noisy?
That being said, I think you've done a nice job with keeping your processing modest and getting a lovely capture, especially at 840 nm!!! |

Just fantastic! Gorgeous capture! I love the soft grays and tans. Fascinating sunset. I'm surprised your shutter speed was so fast? I agree with Candy that the lines are extraordinary. Rays of the sun are also wonderful. Beautifully processed. |

My favorite bird! I've been to Kenya 3 times to shoot them and they are very skittish! And you caught it eating. Great depth of field, nice and crisp, and I really like the lines with the diagonal bird and cross diagonal with the branch. Love this and have no suggestions, wish it was mine! |
