Thanks, everyone, for the different renditions to improve the tone down the background and not lose the rhinos. They are a tricky subject. |

Once again, I've printed all the suggestions on how to reduce the background from your lovely bird! Beautifully photographed and I enjoy how you filled the frame with her. I agree the eye needs some lightening.
What tips does everyone use to make an eye pop and have a catch light in it? Rob mentioned the Clip tool, and I'm not familiar with that. |

Chuck, Good photo, nicely in focus. I like Candy's version, and we still realize we are in a dry desert. I recently attended a Scott Kelby workshop and he said, "A good photographer shoots standing up, a very good photographer shoots on one knee, a great photographer photographs on his belly." The concept being that if we saw these plants on their own level, the pic would be even more arresting. Food for thought for the next time. |

Love your work! I appreciate that you didn't overdo the pink, which would have been tempted. Where did you photograph this? I love the sharpness of the flowers...each little fur showing so beautifully. No suggestions, just love it. |

Everyone beat me to it! I agree that a tighter shot to fill the screen with ducks is good and the background needed to be darkened. I printed the three different techniques everyone used to accomplished emphasizing the ducks. I'd be tempted to paint the ducks to emphasize their color and fabulous definition in their wings. Sweet shot and I do love the background, it just needed to be de-emphasized.

Awesome! I've always wanted to try it...was the in/out difficult? I've had some heart issues, so big climbs are a problem.
I like both versions of it! I also would be tempted to add in some orange luminance, although I can see the value of having a very different version.
Scott Kelby said that to have the light rays show up, you have a friend throw dirt into the air and snap the light beams show up. You don't have time to throw and take the pic. Not sure if you had any light rays as an option, but thought I would share the trick. |

I'd love to try this type of photography, too! Good first effort! I agree with everyone else's comments. I also find it noisy. I'm not sure if noise reduction in this kind of photo is useful. I do love the lemon of the moon coming up. |
