Thanks Ally. The pond is indeed a treasure of subject for image making.

Another stunning backlit creature. The stubble in the water and ground pulls my attention from the magnificent lion. I find the sky and water still too bright. Because the lion is so beautifully outlined by the glowing light, I would try to mask and drastically darken the background, sky and all but an area of the water around the tongue. I think the result could be very dramatic. |

The bird's pose on that rock in the midst of the swirling water and his sideways glance suggest that he is leary of something - or someone. The highlights and extent of the rock compete with the bird for attention. I suggest cropping from the bottom to remove 2/3 of the rock. I did not know that birds swam underwater. Fascinating. |

The cat's expression tells the tale. He seems to be thinking "I was only exploring - " I love the colors in the fur. Great detail in the face, and wonderful bokeh in the background. I would try to darken the background as is tends to pull my attention from the cat. This image should be on a wall. |

This incredible catch tells a powerful story. I hope that dragonfly wiggled loose. The detail is amazing given the breeze and insect's struggles. The colors look a bit oversaturated. The subtle tones in the original highlight the plight of that poor fellow; in the processed version the bold colors demand the attention. |

Fascinating image. The patterns of the water produce an illusion of multiple exposure. The colors are very pleasing, and your sharpening works very well. I might try cropping out the sky for an even more unique and puzzling image. |

Powerful image. I love the composition, fog/mist, and detail on those rock. I would try darkening the sky and water a bit. I think this would look excellent on glossy acrylic. |

Wonderful detail in that striking umbrella. I love the perspective from which my brain rapidly flips from seeing the center as concave to convex and back again. |

You spied a fine sprite. Your processing compelled him to manifest to us as he dragged a sprite of charred wood by the arm (note the fingers and thumb) to safety. |

VERY dramatic background against which that battered leaf looks like it is being charred by a wild fire. The composition is grand. You made a fine image in the spirit of Wabi Sabi. |

Thank you so very much for introducing me to Brooks Jensen's series. I love your idea of photographing it over time. I hope they will be in place long enough to do it. I have been compiling a series of decaying wall images for a portfolio. And all this time I knew not of Brooks Jensen. |
