Fantastic image that tells a harrowing tale (from the perspective of the lizard)! Your processing is perfectly marvelous. Every feather of the bird is in focus, and the eye has a great catch light. The bird's expression seems to say "can I really swallow all this". |

Wonderful winter scene. Those fluffed feathers tell the story. I would open the crop a bit to give him some more of that wintry space. The yellow-green moss on his perch is a bonus. I agree with Sharon that this would make a great Christmas card. |

You have a wonderful view! How very special to have elk in your front yard. The sky is beautiful. The elk looking at you makes a fine story. Is he envious of your shelter, asking for dinner or just saying hello? Cropping left to remove the other two animals gives a second lovely image. |

Wonderful image, and great story. I like the new crop based on Sharon's suggestion as it removes some distracting nest material at the bottom, and highlights the action, and that orange eye. |

Love that glare and the catchlight in his eye. The stark background is perfect for that high key minimalist look I love. I like the less hazy branches in the original. I would lessen the crop on the right to show more of the trunk so that the lower branches are attached. Alternatively, you could crop out those lower branches. |

The pose and meditative expression of this beautiful goldfinch, the catchlight in his eye, the bright yellow and white feathers against the delicate colors of the background, the sparse diagonal branch and the overall simplicity of this image convey the essence of Spring. In the final image the bird may be meditating on whether or not he can hang on to that branch, or pondering the meaning of life. In the original he seems to be doing a Snoopy stare. I prefer the diagonal composition. Regarding your signature, I always prefer subtlety. Yours can be read, yet it does not draw my attention, or break the flow of the composition.

Thanks Tom. I bet that current AI sharpening could have extended the in-focus range. In this image I opted for focus falloff to heighten the illusion of the emergence of the rolled leaves. I will, however, experiment with selective sharpening as you suggested, and I just might like it better. |

Those poppies are spectacular. I like both the original and the processed versions. The flowers stand out beautifully from the black background, but the effect is broken by the green leaves at the bottom. I would remove them in this version. I love the background in the original, but I might crop out that bright streak of light on the right. |

Marvelous expression indeed. The bright blue face and contextless presentation sure look like art to me. I also like the original. Both monkeys look grumpy - and whose tail is that - is its owner the cause of the grumps. |

That Anenome is spectacular. I would tone down the background to direct the viewer's attention right to the Anenome: mask the Anenome and selectively adjust its color and sharpness, then selectively adjust the background in order to have more contrast between the Anenome and the background. |

The frolicking cheetahs, the mother staking out their dinner while keeping vigil over her cubs, the distant herd, and the negative space combine to transport the viewer into the Serengeti and to tell its story. I would not change a pixel. |

The action, composition and colors are very pleasing. I love your title. While your crop zooms in on the action and the eye, I really love the original. The positions of the body and legs tell more of the story, and the shadows are wonderful. I would try to lighten and denoise the image, selectively sharpen the bird, and omit the crop. |
