52 Jan 24 Comment Many thanks Pamela. I agree that the bird bits should be removed. Jan 19th
52 Jan 24 Reply Many thanks for your suggestions. I will try them. I do have Silver Efex, but I am not sure how to use it to get pixels across all zones. I will research this process. Jan 18th
52 Jan 24 Reply Many thanks Mike. I will try the PS AI to extend the bottom. It will indeed be fun to experiment. Jan 16th
52 Jan 24 Comment OUTSTANDING! There is MUCH to love about this image. The bird's and fish's eyes; the detail in the feathers and scales; the power in that rough water. What I love most is the expressions: the Osprey's look of fierce determination is reminiscent of a receiver running with the ball to the goal line in the final quarter of a championship game, while that of the Pigfish is "OH NO, not ME". Great action image; great nature story. Jan 16th
52 Jan 24 Comment Beautiful scene. Those bright yellow flowers contrast well with that forlorn rock in the water and with the darkening clouds. The action in the white water and waves mimics the splashing of color on land. I would not flip this image, (though I agree with Mike that one should try different orientations of images during processing). My eye is drawn initially to the riot of yellow. Then I notice the rock and my eye moves up to the horizon and off into the sky to the right. This feels right. Jan 16th
52 Jan 24 Comment Beautiful detail on the egret. The wing positions that you captured are wonderful and hold my interest. The position of the bird reveals those powerful muscles. I agree with all of the comments above. What camera and lens did you use. Also, what tool in PS did you use to remove that tree? It worked very well. Jan 16th
52 Jan 24 Comment Wonderful composition rich in elements of interest. Your technique of merging different shutter speeds worked very well. I see the slight halos on the rocks that Ally pointed out. Cutting back on one of the adjustments (sharpening and vibrancy often does this) will correct that. I agree with Mike that toning down the bright upper sky directs attention to the scene below. That ring around the rock in the foreground is fascinating. Jan 16th
52 Jan 24 Comment Looking at this image in the midst of a snow storm where all is blinding white triggers a longing to be with the swans in this warm and peaceful place. Those warm earthy colors first caught my eye, and then the swan's playful motion and the fine detail on their wings held my attention. I love the texture in the water reflections and in the background brush.
The story that I see is the peace and beauty found in nature if we but look.

56 Jan 24 Reply I just read your article. It is the perfect guide for my first experiments in painting. THANK YOU! Jan 18th
56 Jan 24 Reply GREAT!! I will look it up now. Jan 18th
56 Jan 24 Comment Hi Cindy, I am visiting from groups 79 and 52. Your image grabbed my attention as I was looking through the various groups. It is BEAUTIFUL. The background and soft treatment of the slippers give this image a timeless look. I have not "painted" any images, but you have inspired me try. Can you suggest a starting place? I subscribe to Adobe photo and thus have LRC and PS. Do you use a Wacom? Jan 18th

79 Jan 24 Reply Thanks for posting these. There is indeed a strong resemblance. Jan 20th
79 Jan 24 Reply Thanks for the original. Seeing it makes me appreciate how you altered it. The version you posted to Karl's reply is terrific! Jan 14th
79 Jan 24 Comment Wonderful pattern, and timely discussion topic. This image gives an illusion of looking down on the top of the balloon, yet the original shows this not to be the case. I cannot find a relationship between the photograph and the processed image. For me the process and resulting pattern are more graphic design than photography, yet with current technology there is a very fine line between the two. We have had interesting discussions about fine art photography and what it is. You have extended the discussion to the very heart of today's photography. Thank you. Jan 14th
79 Jan 24 Comment Fascinating concept. When I minimize the image a bit that face appears with long eyebrows and forked tongue. It is really hard for me to identify the elements of the stationary image that gave rise to the motion elements. The colors and symmetry are great. You do indeed find intriguing subject to photograph. Jan 14th
79 Jan 24 Reply What a treasure. You are really fortunate.

79 Jan 24 Comment Wonderful abstract. I see a human figure standing in the water teaching a youth, wearing swimming trunks and draped horizontally across him, to swim. The swimmer is doing a breast stroke to the left. Your processing is great and really brought out these illusions. It does indeed also look like an Indian rug. Jan 14th
79 Jan 24 Comment You have an interesting composition. The two lamp posts and tree together with the iron fence form a formidable blockade that looms before the temple. In Karl's version the steeple rises above the walls and into the fog. How wonderful that you live so close. I bet there are many interesting angles to photograph. Have you ever been inside? Do they allow photographs to be taken inside? Jan 14th
79 Jan 24 Comment Interesting image. I like it a lot. I see not a pig but a helmeted centurion. The color works well. I would love to see the original. Jan 14th
79 Jan 24 Comment I like this image. It is reminiscent of crochet work. Its strength is in the detail. I would clear the background noise and remove the wavy white horizontal lines. It would be educational to see the original. Jan 14th
79 Jan 24 Comment I remember roller washers. VERY dangerous. Thanks for your input. Jan 12th
79 Jan 24 Reply Is this borderless version better? Jan 11th
79 Jan 24 Reply Thanks Lauren. I am not sure about a frame. I think it needs one. Perhaps a much narrower one. Jan 10th
