52 Oct 23 Comment Spectacular in every way! As one who's safaris have been confined to her backyard I am dazzled by these Cheetah. Your processing is perfect. The compositional elements are wonderful: the opposing stares of the Cheetah, the triangles formed by the broken branch and the animal's spread front legs, the horizontal layers of color, texture and focus, and the crossed diagonal lines formed by the branches. SPECTACULAR! Oct 11th
52 Oct 23 Comment Delightful image! I cant stop smiling. The contrast between the blissful expression of the hippo and the mud in which she is lying adds to the merriment. I prefer the color version in which the mud looks - well muddier. I would cut back on the processing a bit as the pink looks unnatural, and leave a bit more room on the right. The contrast between the bird's and the hippo's expressions adds an element of humor. It looks as though the bird is scoffing at the bliss of a mud nap. Oct 11th
52 Oct 23 Comment I love the minimalist composition. The curve on the branch, the yellow claw and the birds eye and position add interest. The textures of the branch and feathers grab my attention but the texture looks harsh and there are halos outlining the subject as though the image were over processed. The suggestions of others would fix this. Oct 11th
52 Oct 23 Comment So sorry that COVID got you. Hopefully you are recovering well. This composition holds my attention and offers both pleasing elements and surprise. There is symmetry in the positions of the parents and four of the little ones, and then the fifth little guy follows the rule of odds and adds elements of action and tension. The layers of different texture in the water and those wonderful abstract reflections add much interest. I like Mike's suggestions. Oct 11th
52 Oct 23 Comment Spectacular composition! The symmetry, triangles, eye, and splashing water droplets are wonderful. Your crop and flip are perfect. I agree with the suggestions of others to correct the bit between the tail feathers, and to add more punch. What did the polarization in Color Efex Pro do? I am not familiar with it. Oct 11th

79 Oct 23 Reply Thanks Peter. Your version is warmer. I think you are right about the hand press. Oct 18th
79 Oct 23 Reply Thanks Mariann. I will try these versions. Oct 16th
79 Oct 23 Reply How could I achieve a more "noir" look?

79 Oct 23 Reply Thanks for your thoughts. Could the tool was some sort of a clamp? Oct 13th
79 Oct 23 Reply Many thanks for your suggestions. I couldn't decide whether or not to leave the straw surrounding the parts. I see from your version that leaving it in does work, but I still like the version without it. Oct 13th
79 Oct 23 Comment My eyes struggle dance around this image undecided where to land. The green leaves compete strongly with the orange/brown/yellow of the flowers. As I studied the image I was drawn to the lower left. I cropped and flipped and found a dancing subject with orange pom poms and a feather in her hair. Oct 13th
79 Oct 23 Comment Splendid array of expressions, and excellent example of the power of foreground. Oct 13th
79 Oct 23 Comment Wonderful image! The dark energy in the sky complements the mysterious water and banks. The full moon and its reflection deepen the affect of mystery. That marvelous upper orb is not Saturn (it is way too large), BUT I love this artifact for it imparts to the image another level of fantasy. On which distant planet of two satellites was this image created? Oct 13th
79 Oct 23 Comment Excellent composition. I love the variety of shapes, angles, curves and tones. What processing did you do? Oct 13th
79 Oct 23 Comment Wonderful composition. The color and brightness balance is great. It would have been nice to have higher resolution. It is hard to assess detail because the image cant be enlarged without pixilation. Oct 13th
