Your tweaks are wonderful! This new version has all the mystery and glory of an unpolluted sky. Toning down the rocks actually brought out more detail. Beautiful image. |

Thanks for your encouragement to persevere with my experiments!! Actually it was the helter skelter quality and distractions that appealed to me when I shot this image - just before a total knee replacement a month ago. I also took a very dark series of images of various medical equipment in my hospital room that I rather like, but that most likely would not not appeal to others. Sometimes my art is just an expression of my mood. It is very valuable to receive subjective feedback. While I still really love this image, your comments will inform my future compositions. |

Wonderful action shot. The crop works very well. On first look the image appears a bit harsh. The blue of the water in the original looks more natural. The birds face and the fish in the original are not sharp, yet good detail is seen in your processed version. On enlargement the wings have a slight halo. How was the image sharpened? |

I like this image. The surrounding blur brings attention to the ram. I love the soulful look he is giving you. I would tighten the crop on and do a horizontal flip as below. I would also tone down the white rear end, and add a slight dark vignette to draw attention to the ram's expression. |

Stunning view of the Galactic core. The rock on the left is especially painterly. It is the brightest object and draws the eyes immediately to it. The eyes then move along the bottom of the image to the right following the other bright rocks. I like the image as is a lot, and I also see another version in which the bright rock on the left bottom is cropped out and the two remaining bright rocks are toned down. On the lower right is a triangle formed by two tree lines that points straight to the Galaxy Core. The tree line on the left forms a diagonal line that also leads up towards the center and then to the Galaxy. I would also try to darken the sky to bring further attention to the stars. Thus in the original version the rocks are the subject and in the second version the sky becomes the subject. Both are wonderful. |

Thanks so much Lauren. I will try toning down those highlights. I never thought of selling it. I have many shots of similar pieces of equipment that were in the room. What fun. Ill make a portfolio. |

Very interesting concept. I would love to see the merged but unprocessed image. The high grain and embossed effect do not quite work for me, but I think the unprocessed version could be very pleasing. |

Fascinating imagem. My eyes go straight to the bright blue water which thus competes with the patterns in the rocks. I would try a tighter crop that removes the upper rocks as Karl suggested and most of the water. The black lines in the striated rocks are reminiscent of cave paintings. I see polar bears and elfs. |

Spectacular image. Such depth and otherworldliness. What sort of lighting did you use? |

Great colors and textures. In the upper third of the image I see a laughing genie lifting his arms towards the right and clapping. |

Wonderful high-key bloom. I would try a tighter square crop for this subject, and as others have suggested remove up the stems at the bottom. |
