Wonderful image!! The monochromatic glow, subtle layered background, and rising dust clouds create an otherworldly affect. Your crop and flip worked to perfection. How close were you to the horses? What were your camera settings? Thanks for including your social media sites. |

I smiled when I viewed this image. I too have a family of squirrels, and the babies are in seemingly endless motion. It is difficult to capture these rumbles, and you did a good job. Their expressions, the detail in their "fingers", the catch light in the top eye, together with the motion blur in the middle romper combine to tell a fine story. |

Wonderful colors and dramatic silhouette. There are two images here. Your cropped version emphasizes the bank and trees, and it imparts a feeling of motion as though I were traveling that river in a boat. I also really like the water patterns, glow and reflections in the original. A little processing would bring it all out. I also felt drawn to flipping both images horizontally and I really love the results. |

I love the sun rays! I can almost feel that wonderful fresh air. This is a feel-good image. The distant mountain and cattle are perfectly framed by the green foliage. How did you happen to select f 2.8? What did you focus on (the tree?). It certainly all came together to create a lovely image. |

Wonderful lines and colors. I agree with Mike that additional contrast would be valuable. What were you focusing on? The tree and furrows near the top of the image add interest. Contrast and sharpening would enhance them. The diagonal line and purple intersecting lines are great compositional elements.
What a magical place! |

Amazing image of a fascinating moment in nature. Your crop highlights a strong diagonal, a leafy illuminated path, from the leaves in the lower right into the upper left. The background bokeh provides depth and mystery. The numerous triangles further strengthen the composition. The simplicity of the complementary color pallet is most pleasing and overlays the rich pattern with a sense of minimalism. The Dark One could as well be bowing in homage. |

Charles, I am visiting from Group 79. Your salt grain images are terrific. I have been attempting photomicroscopy using an iphone and Fold scope, as well as a digital Qx5 microscope--all with disappointing results. I was not familiar with the lens you used. AND you method of 75 slices with the photorail is great. Thank you for posting. Judith |

Great composition. The sharp textures and knurled shape of that tree contrast dramatically with the diffused and linear colors of the rainbow. The image has a pleasing high key feeling. I would not change it. |

Wonderful!! I see life emerging from the primordial ooze. And I see the spirit of Edgerton. I see time. Frozen. I agree with Freddie, A MASTERPIECE! |

This image speaks MOTION to me: the dancers, twirling parasols, rolling waves (that green mural). The blue that overlays the bold colors suggests night time Brownian Motion. The bright light on the face and flowers in the upper left jarred my eye's wandering about the image. Is that dancer waking from a dream, slipping into a different reality? |

Sandra, welcome back!! Creating images within the boundaries of your dwelling led to a very artistic image. The background bokeh is wonderful and complements well the red of the rose. The shape of the rose is great and the tiny points of yellow add interest. The bold color reaches out to say "summer is here". All the suggested modifications would indeed make that rose look more natural, but I rather like it in its abstract form. |

Welcome to our dialog! You have chosen a great subject that is difficult to photograph. You might consider trying a polarizer filter on you lens to reduce glare, and to bring out more detail. I like the concept of rendering the image in B & W, but I prefer the detail and texture in the original image. Perhaps the "selective" blur was too general. As Lauren commented, you can post revisions as replies to our replies. Then next month try a different subject. |

Peter, the layered depth of the original image is wonderful. The flower seems to be reaching out from the screen. The processed image is interesting. The colors and textures work well, particularly the pastels in the lower left region. The swirls lead my eyes around and right up into the green road blocks on the right. One can imagine many stories contemplating this image. |

Tom, I am visiting from Group 79. Fantastic image! It looks like a mandala. Did you use a focus rail for the 17 images? What gave rise to the center of the image? I see 5 singing skulls. Fascinating and creative image. Judith |
