I too noticed the "ghost" of which Tom spoke. To me it appears to be the ghost of a dolphin heading to the right and smiling. I like it and would leave it. I have always been uneasy around large bodies of water. This powerful image elicits a feeling of near panic in me. WONDERFUL!!! |

I love the action, and also thought it worthy of experimentation. In Lightroom I decreased the green, yellow, orange luminosity, lowered the texture and dehaze, lowered the overall highlights, and added a bit of a vignette. |

Beautiful site. I like the perspective. The processed raw image is wonderful. The complementary colors are warm and pleasing. The river rocks add much interest and lead into the trees in the background.
The texture in the water, the white caps where the water dashed into the rocks, and the faint clouds in the sky add further interest. Nice panorama! |

This bee drinks deep. The parallel lines of the flowers and bee appendages anchor the bee to those flowers. The yellow dots (pollin?) on the bee and flowers give color continuity with the bee fur. I really like the outstretched wing; it balances the image. I would crop a bit tighter to eliminate those partial flowers left and right. I too have trouble removing interfering objects like that stem, and I will explore the techniques that Sharon and Mike suggested on some of my images.

This happy fellow is surely singing a holiday song. I love high key images. The detail is wonderful, and the tones are pleasing. The water swirls frame him well, and the shadow ripples add interest. I really would not change a thing. This image makes me smile! |

I think this is my favorite of your light paintings. You are an accomplished dancer. What dance form/rhythm did you use? As I studied your image an idea occurred to me: I want to try to represent various conductors beats (eg 3/4; 4/4; 6/8) using a light stick as a baton. The resulting image might just be a great way to teach conducting. Have you already done this? |

From a distance the three flowers looked like three ETS helping each other climb a green ladder. I love the water drops in the background. Very interesting composition. The focus stacking worked well. It is very difficult to get a string of orchids in focus, and you did it. |

I love both the original and processed versions. The colors and gradations are wonderful. I love the dreamy mood of the processed version, and I love the textures of the original. Either version would look great on exhibit.

This image, its title, and your statement present an interesting puzzle. What is this place? Is it an abandoned, boarded up dwelling? Is that a concrete wall or sidewalk with graffiti in back of the shoes? Why do the shoes point upwards? Does the orientation of the white shoes signify the distortions to which memories are prone? If the shoes point to the past and never go forward, what is in front. The white box reinforces the feeling of abandonment, of things discarded.
The white box balances the white shoes, and the dark splotches in the toe, heel and on the box draw the eye on a curved trajectory.
I would love more details. |
