Wonderful textures and colors. I love the golden reflection in the center, and the red rocks upper right. The rock layers form lines that lead to the central gold and up to the vanishing point. Great composition. For my eyes the sky is a bit too bright and it pulls my attention away from the interesting patterns below. I believe that your processing worked well for this image. |

Wonderful image. The pink and blue colors, and background bokeh are beautiful. I especially love the intersecting curves of the pink and blue feathers. |

John, this image holds my attention. It has a meditative feel of minimalism. The trees give a pleasing effect reminiscent of pointillism. Leading lines draw my eye up into the white of the mountains and on up to the white clouds in the sky. I would not change a thing. What a fascinating place-to drive through-in a heated car. |

A beautiful place with great reflections. I would try a polarizing filter next time to intensify those reflections and cut the glare on the water.
I would also crop out the rock and flora on the left. I prefer the resulting asymmetry, and the diminishing rock size and shadow more easily draw my eye along a path up and to the right. What are the white disks on the water? |

You have captured a wonderful display of autumn colors. The composition is terrific. I prefer the original image to the processed one. The blue of the sky and the detail in the right side of the image are more pleasing to my eye. I agree with you that you probably mislabeled the images. |

What a fascinating place. I like your composition; the shore forms a pleasingly curved line that leads right to the central mound of rocks. The pink color in the background mountains is lovely, and so striking that my eye oscillates between them and the rocks in the center. For me this is a two subject image. The bird on the upper left rock mound is wonderful (though I wish it were clearer). I would tone down some of the processing to soften the colors and restore the sharpness of the original. |

Beautiful example of rime's artistic power. I would crop the image square to remove that frosted leaf below the flower. While the coating of ice is interesting, it is not in focus, and it competes with the flower for my attention. The flower is clearly the subject of the image. I like the contrast of the green leaves, but the two almost parallel stems that flank the flower break the pleasing symmetry. I would darken them. |

Lauren, this is an outstanding image! The explosion of autumnal color, the twists and turns of the branches, and the fine detail hold my eyes captive. I love the perspective. Bravo! |

What wonderful architecture! Where were you when you took the picture? Street level? I like the composition. The deep shadow on the right and the light on the left, together with the opposing curves of the buildings generate a yin/yang balance. The central trees reinforce the image's symmetry. Many have said that the best camera is the one you have in your pocket. They are correct. |

I like this minimalist image a lot. The tones and subtle colors are very pleasing, and the boekh adds a touch of mystery. The curving lines lead me from the dark foreground into light that beckens at the bend. I cant wait to see what lies around that bend. What camera etc did you use. Did you do any post processing? |

May, technically your image is excellent. The toneal spectrum, color, light and focus are all fine. I like and am impressed that you did not do any post processing. For me, the image is unsettling, and disturbing. The face seems to be wearing a nearly expressionless mask. Does it mask the unraveling of the fabric of her life? Alternatively, the pieces of yarn might represent an attempt to knit a broken life back together. Perhaps that is her utopian dream. As you can see your image made me think, and that is what fine art is all about. |
