Interesting composition and perspective. The rocks lead my eye to the orange band of the setting (rising) sun. I assume the camera was mounted on a tripod. The image seems soft, particularly the rock at the upper left. Is this a property of that fisheye? Also the rocks and even your watermark have halos. Are these artifacts of post processing?

This is a serious dancer! You have a VERY steady hand. The detail is wonderful. The repetition of the parallel lines formed by the bird's wing feathers in the water ripples is interesting. The green/brown reflections at the top of the image might be toned down a bit to give more prominence to the bird. |

Your image has captured the grace and ease with which this bird soars. The simplicity of the image is striking. There is good detail. The eye could be brought out more. Also, there is a halo outlining the bird. The halo is most noticeable along the top. Perhaps cut back an adjustment in Lightroom. |

Beautiful insects! You captured the butterfly's patterns and colors well. The image seems too busy. The berries along the bottom and right wing of the central butterfly detract from the black wing edge. The leaves (even though they are toned down) clutter the image. I think the it would have more impact if the background could be blackened, and the lilac-colored blossom toned down to allow the insects to pop. |

Marvelous composition! My eyes dance along the opposing circles formed by the metal ring and ed insect body. The markings on the bodies are beautiful and they just pop. This image is clearly no fake, but rather a great example of the joy of seizing the moment. |

Amazing image. The bud and insect's wings are VERY sharp. The crop and angle work wonderfully well, and the bokeh is beautiful. The simplicity of the image is striking. This image is clearly gallery show-worthy, and I would not change a thing. What make camera and lens did you use? How far did you zoom with that lens? |

As suggested I removed the extraneous stems in photoshop using the "content aware fill" tool. This is a new strategy for me. I also tried the flip suggestion. Which do you prefer?

Fascinating image! I have photographed many tent caterpillar in their tents. This image mimics them so closely that I could as well imagine those girls being kidnapped and trapped by a giant caterpillar as being born. I especially love the light that streaks across the lower third of the picture and selectively lights up the tent. How did you do that, or was it a gift of the sun? |

Anurada, you have created a wonderful minimalist piece. The deep blue and contrasting yellow evoke a sense of mystery and longing for the source of the light. All three versions work for me. The stems add to the sense of dark mystery, while their removal enhances the minimalism. |

Susan, a stunning capture of a priceless expression. The softening works well. I would try to tone down the leaves in the background by a combination of hazing with the "dehazing" tool, and vignetting. Also I would cut the highlights/whites along her right (well left) cheek. |

Valerie, I love the feel and detail in this image. It has a look of days gone by, and works very well in B&W. The vignette could be softened perhaps by feathering. The name "George Stumbles" is wonderful and should be left in. Perhaps the square image could be moved a bit to the right to encompass it, and to put more space in front of the car while leaving enough of the "Belfast" sign to read. What does the "0 ta" on the side of the car and the sign hanging from the post in front of the shop refer to? |

Mary, fascinating image of contrasts and repetitions. In addition to the chiaroscuro effect of the light, the image is filled with contrasts between fabric and metal, setting and expression, glitter and grunge. These contrasts are subtly highlighted by repetitions of curves in the wisps of hair that frame her face, the strap of her gown and the horse shoes, and of vertical lines in her arm and spine and horseshoes hanging in back of her head. Your adjustments to the image work well. I would brighten the shoes to accentuate the contrast between them and the dull tarnished horseshoes. |
