Thanks for the settings. I have not been very successful in catching birds in flight, and thus am very interested in how you do it.

Wonderful, moody scene. The vacant old bench really adds to the lonely affect. The island in the original did indeed draw my eye from the setting sun--yet is added another element of mystery. Can you see the spirit guide looking down upon the water (top just right of center)? While the lightened version does show more detail, it has lost much of the mystery of the version you initially presented. I prefer the version you originally posted. |

Great shot! I can see the anger in his eye after his failed food run. The fanned feathers are wonderful. The original looks crisper than your edited version. Also the head of the bird in the edited version looks a bit blown out, and the sky seems overly bright. With a more subdued sky the eagle would stand out more. What settings did you use to catch those wings in flight? |

I love peonies and grow many of them. You captured the delicate nature of the petals. I rather like the natural, tattered appearance of some of them as it illuminates the frailty of beauty. I would not clone out those tears and spots. My eye dances around the concentric circles formed by the petals, stamens, and pistils, and I feel the joy of that Spring day. |

Great composition, and colors. I can almost hear the water cascading over those "stairs". That water looks a bit blown out. Also, the rock ledge and trees are a bit soft on my screen. Actually the original image looks crisper. The angle of the shot is interesting. Were you standing in the water? |

WOW! You captured it in flight. I have not yet succeeded in doing that. The composition is wonderful. I would say it is "triangulated". Triangles abound: the outstretched wing, tail feathers, leaves, AND- the branch and bird are angled to form two sides of a triangle the third side of which my eye just fills in as it dances about the green areas of the image. The birds eye is also wonderful. I am inspired. |
