Thanks. I am working on the white. I thought about removing the green leaves right and top, but I rather like them and the triangle they form with the green on the main subject. I will generate a version without them and compare them side by side. |

Stunning composition! I was initially drawn to the opposing like-colored lines generated by the feathers and post, and to the intersecting beak. You captured a sense of motion and anticipation as he is about to land. The bokeh background and hint of grasses at the bottom give a sense of place and atmosphere. I too love rainy days. |

Amazing sharpness. You have a very steady hand, and a great eye. The close crop produces a wonderful, almost abstract effect. Mt eye flows along the many parallel curves, and always back to that eye. How close were you to the heron?

You captured a wonderful playful expression. She looks like she is waiting for one of those tennis balls. The bird is tac sharp and the eyes are amazing. The yellow orbs in the background tend to pull my eye from the owl's eyes. Could they and the branches emerging from her head be toned down a bit? |

The patterns in this image are enticing. My eye keeps dancing around from the green algae at the bottom up through the path, and then to the suggestion of the head of a peacefully resting animal at the top right of the path. I believe that the image could benefit from sharpening and contrast. |

Wonderful catch of the tongue. Your composition, and color are great. I like the bright blue sky and the way the colors pop against it. The slight aberration around the wing tips actually gives a feeling of wing motion. I am not familiar with Color Efex. What did it offer over photoshop ??

This is a wonderful image. I can't help smiling whenever I look at it. The bird on the right seems to be crying out "me too, me too". I love the bokeh background against the sharp birds. Even the mealworm has detail. I sure consider it competition worthy. I had not heard of the Wimberly Sidekick. Your use of it in this image prompted me to look it up. Was it helpful??? |
