Thanks Sharon. I have never used the lens correction you suggested, BUT--I shall try it. |

Many thanks Carol! I thought that black spot might be a wound in the leaf. As I am loath to alter anything in my nature shots, I opted to leave the leaf alone. |

A great capture! Amazing sharp focus for the head and tail feathers. Are the soft dark blotches brush/shrubs? They tend to distract my eyes. Could they be spot lightened even more? The beige color on the birds neck is picked up in the background bokeh, while the bird pops out in sharp focus. Wonderful action shot, and beautiful bird. |

Marvelous wing span and water action. The image is almost a monochrome. The rust color in the neck and beak reappears muted in the wings and water. It looks like your lens was focused on the lower tips of the wings, with the result that the transmitter, head, and eye are a little soft. Amazing hand held capture of the moment. |

Wonderful leading lines. How far was the nearest peak? What was the lens focused on, and what was the focus setting? The green brush, and the peaks in the distance seem a bit soft. In this image, the softness seems appropriate and gives a surrealistic illusion of heat waves. Increasing the vibrancy a bit might bring out more of the color of the rust/red streaks in the mountains. |

Wonderful reflection and panorama! I have yet to try a panorama, and your image has inspired me to do so. How many shots did you merge? What did you focus on? The trees and mountain seem soft and harsh, perhaps from over processing. The image might look great as an impressionist view with less sharpening/correction. |

Wonderful image! The lines in this image keep my eyes dancing. The opposing curves of the wings, claw, neck, and head feather direct my eyes round and round is a most pleasing way. The stark background pops the bird. The beige on light blue produces a light playful feeling that is reinforced by the smiling appearance of the bird. The birds eye looks sharp, a great feat for a hand held shot with a huge lens. How close were you? Leaving in the trees might have given a perspective, but I do love the positional uncertainty of your crop. What were your settings? How far was your lens zoomed, how fast, etc. What is this bird? |
