Upon first viewing this fascinating image I thought "Valkyries". The repetition of color and shape in the wings and weeds is pleasing against the blue background. The birds appear to be outlined in halo that may be the result of over adjustment.Great catch of a slice of nature. |

The opposing leading lines formed by the wings and upper wing feathers, the rippling waters and mid-air droplets, and the birds expression create a merry chaos. The upper reflections of trees add a contrasting dreamy element. The bird's neck echoes the shape of the trees. Darkening the upper background might pop the bird a bit more. Wonderful, playful shot. |

OUTSTANDING!! I can see the reflection of the landscape in the owl's eyes. The whole image is tack sharp, very difficult to achieve with hand holding and so long a zoom. I have never been so close to an owl. The green background is interesting and picks up hints of green in the beak and of course the eyes. What was that background? |

This owl has the most human-looking face I have seen. Under the beak appears to be mustached human-like lips! The left eye is sharp--catch and all, but the left eye
seems to be looking somewhere else--almost cross-eyed. Fascinating image. The black background creates a Renaissance chiaroscuro look. BEAUTIFUL and interesting. |

I would definitely follow this leader! The sharp eye is on the course, and the curved wing forms a great line leading to the goal. There seems to be a bit of a halo under the birds body and down the lowered wing. Is that sun or LR artifact? I would try cropping closer on the left to remove the bit of leg that shows. Great perspective. |

Lisa, had I seen a spicy over my head, I would have run. Bravo for staying on to capture this image. I love the spider's stance. It is becoming "come on little bug".
I also love the play of light on the spider's legs, body, and web. For me the streak adds a sense of reality, and the sections of web faded out by the strong light add mystery. I love Mike's noise reduction, but I prefer your exposure. Great and courageous shot! |

Many thanks Carol. I will try your suggestions--once I learn how to use those adjustments. I am new to LR and PS, but making headway. |
