Spelling is a typo. The Stone rules.
I cropped this too much and lost my message. I lost the vastness of the environment. This guy's G. G. Grandfather was the first white man to settle in Kittitas County, coming from the Oregon and Yakima region originally after the 1844 trip here from Missouri.
This land is challenging. Farmers can survive here, but only if they are tough and smart. It was more challenging in the centuries past, before Irrigation Systems. The old Thorps were "open range" ranchers. Their experiences trying to earn a living are the stuff Hollywood Western Fictions are based on.
My apologies for the defects in my work. |

Wish I could. Have a replacement (Drone 7) but the neighborhood is so windy, I'm afraid to fly. 50 and 60 mile per hour wind gusts for the past 3 weeks. |

Good image and story. Have you considered subjecting the image to tone mapping software? It might help you a lot in the highlights. |

Apart from some of the sail and boat being on zone 9, great shot. Can the washed out highlights be burned in? |

Drama in the lighting, and just enough detail. Well done. |

Excellent example of why to break the rules of composition. Great lighting. Nicely done. |
