Shot this on the drone during a snow storm March 13, this year. |

I played with it in B&W, also. For some reason, the conversion doesn't speak to me the same as the color version. Maybe I should go back and shoot it on B&W film, and then try to print a B&W image. I have never had good luck converting color captures to mono.
Maybe the issue is digital. My scans of B&W negs. suck, also. In the old days of chemical B&W I seem to have done better getting a print to invoke "feeling". Or, maybe it was just the chemicals killing brain cells. |

You are correct with regard to failing structural stability in old buildings. This one can be entered carefully, but not for much longer. The taggers, dopers, drinkers, and vandals are taking it down one act of destruction at a time.
Finding an old house, today, that has not been stripped and vandalized is nearly impossible. I have not seen one since the 1950's.

I don't use Lightroom. This was all done in CS 5.1. |

Great shot. If there were a human down in the canyon, would the figure show up? Some kind of object for scale. Us who have never seen this place need a clue to the size of the scene. Is that one mile of river, or 6? |

The human makes the shot. I wouldn't change anything, except to put his down sized echo on the step of the first rock formation.

Nice shots. I think I would want to darken the sky just slightly. |

Looks like that Pine Tree has had a few bouts with the wind. We have a windy environment, also. Every winter a few more Pine Trees get blown over.
The mountains are a bit blue to me. Maybe slide the cyan and blue saturation a bit and see if it makes any difference; or what would happen if you dodge it? |

Thank you, sir. That is actually a collapsed shed, probably a poultry house. The property has about 8 "outbuildings". 6 1/2 are flat on the ground. |

A little closer to what you're seeking. |

I like the shot's perspective. Maybe a little more contrast or saturation in the ice and grey mud in the foreground. |

Spiritually, this shot leaves me flat. It stirs no feelings. Maybe crop off the top 25% and pull down the brightness.
