33 Mar 20 Comment This is a shot that wasn't ready for the public. I apologize. There's nothing in the background except the grass and land. All buildings in the town are yards away to the side.
This view is over land that was storage area for supplies, such as Ties. The kids only set fire to the RR Ties.

My feelings overruled judgement on this one.

33 Mar 20 Reply Good critique. Thanks. Mar 15th
33 Mar 20 Comment I guess this one comes down to "what's the subject"? If the green stuff is the subject, maybe burn in the building and suppress it's influence. Mar 14th
33 Mar 20 Comment I like the shot, but think it would work better if the bottom of the image was cropped out. Mar 14th
33 Mar 20 Comment What they said. The original composition seems a bit tense to me. Mar 14th
33 Mar 20 Comment Love it. Well done. Mar 14th
33 Mar 20 Comment I like your shot, but the gray overpowered me and the Bob Wills adjustment looked too light hearted. Anyway, I took license and here's a suggestion for the mystery effect. Since the whale is not clearly defined, let's play up to the question. What does lurk.….? Mar 14th

44 Mar 20 Comment Always wondered about this airplane. Nice. Thanks for posting it.

During the time period many fire extinguishers used toxic substances. Once, as a kid, we still had Carbon Tetrachloride devices around one of my Dad's workplaces. (In high school Biology, I used Carbon Tet. to kill insects for a bug board assignment. Had to sign for it at a pharmacy, just to buy it.)

85 Mar 20 Comment Nice shot. Reminds me of a painting. It's cool to see nature reclaiming the structure. Wish we had some of these close by. Mar 24th
85 Mar 20 Comment Reminds me of an aerial photo over a military area. All I get from this are intrusive memories. Mar 24th
85 Mar 20 Reply Lou, you are correct. There was a better composition in the video, which I should have used.

In this part of the State, it is more polite and safer to fly over abandoned or wide open areas. Some of my neighbors, in this county, are easily offended by drones, and they are pretty good shots.

Some day, I should practice high key B&W. I read somewhere, in the old days, a photograph needs to evoke emotion. Whether the viewer loves or hates the image, that's good. If the viewer feels nothing, then I failed.
