Neat subject. I would burn in the foreground rock, but leave the tree alone. The river looks frozen. |

I enjoy old buildings. Wish I could prowl more of them. Thought your shot needed some tension and drama. Did a little cropping and burning. Just a suggestion. |

I do appreciate all the help, suggestions and examples. Your example is a beautiful image.
I guess I'm a frustrated, journalist wannabe. I need to present "evidence" in this kind of work, more than art. (Yes, I want the image to have a punch, but it must be authentic. Too much cooking of the distractions destroys the credibility of the shot.)
There is art I wish I could make, but I don't have the charm of Edward, or Brett; and it seems the times have changed.
The bracket was minus 1 1/3, 0, plus 3.
I took Brad's suggestion and played with highlight and shadow control. Like it.
When I get some bills paid down a little more, it will be time to sign up for CC. Ugh!
Thank you and all the others. Please keep it coming. |

Lisa, the seller is a con artist. He made statements, which are patently false.
eBay convinced him to refund and take the drone back, but then I have to start all over with another question mark.
I chose to have DJI repair the drone and take my chances with them. Now, it is down to waiting for the money to clear. Apparently, personal checks are processed at a bank in China. So, I get to wait up to a month, plus, for payment to show up and then these wonderful guys will do the work. The delay is due to a Pay Pal link that is broken.
I plan to start shopping for the next drone well before this one dies (assuming it ever comes back to life). I plan to shop companies other than DJI. Someone else out there can install 20mp or 35mp cameras in a reliable drone....somewhere....someday. |

This is becoming a soap opera.
Bought a used drone from eBay seller techjunkieonline, aka Richard Wei. Drone was sold as a refurbished with DJI warranty.
Drone came broken and nearly crashed on test flight. After two weeks of waiting for Mr. Wei to respond to complaints, I sent the drone to DJI for repair. $365.00 Had to mail a check because the online link to pay pal wouldn't work.
Finally had some conversations with Mr. Wei, who is out of the country for a few more weeks. He would rather take the drone back than pay the repair cost. $800.00 -v- $365.00 ???
I'm tired of being grounded. So, the repair work will go as scheduled; and someday, I may have a drone that flies and takes pictures.
If this repair job is successful, the used drone will cost just about what a DJI refurb sells for from DJI. (without the BS and drama)
Somehow, I still do not feel lucky. |
