33 May 19 Reply This IR is a Lifepixel super color conversion on a D2x.

33 May 19 Reply Yep. For some reason, in this neighborhood, IR has a hard time. Don't know if it is the altitude, or what. Don't know the history of the gate. Doubt if there was ever a home here. May 17th

44 May 19 Comment I think you nailed it pretty well. May 21st
44 May 19 Comment I like the monochrome version better, because it focuses on the old door. However, the original in color sets up tension and suggests something paranormal is afoot.
Cool.

44 May 19 Comment Good blending of colors and contrast. The rainbow is a bonus. May 21st
44 May 19 Reply Someday, I'll go back there and shoot that from the drone, straight down, at sunset to capture long shadows. The place is so cluttered it is difficult to isolate a subject. We are into the windy season, now, for a few months. This wind makes drone flying a bit more technical.

What you did there is fine, except for the sky. Looks cooked.

44 May 19 Comment The outdoor museum is actually on private land, which is not open to the public. I got permission to go onto the land and photograph through a local lady who is friends with the owner. The property is the Peoh Point Grange and School, SE of Cle Elum, WA. Nearest intersection is Upper Peoh Point Road and Watson Cutoff. The Subject is a rock's throw West of that intersection. About 6 acres of land are dedicated to this gentleman's collection habit. He also fills up other sites around the area.

I spot metered the portions of the scene I wanted to get right and shot 3 exposures in manual. The HDR was done in the Nik free download. I did adjust the hue and saturation a bit in CS5.1.

85 May 19 Reply Cle Elum, Washington. The Yakima River runs along the south edge of a local kids fishing spot called Hanson's Ponds. The ponds were a side effect of the I-90 freeway construction during the 1960's.

The ponds sit along side the freeway. Up until this January, there was a duck blind set up on one of the ponds. The City finally decided that situation was too hazardous so the blind was removed, and the area posted no shooting, et cetera.

85 May 19 Comment This scene impresses me with the starkness of industrial sites. I'm hoping you shot this in winter due to the color of the foliage. The white stuff is snow,... right? May 21st
85 May 19 Comment I would crop the sky, about half. I'm wondering if playing with contrast and brightness would give the image a bit more pop. May 21st
85 May 19 Comment The shapes and colors blend well with this one. Well done. May 21st
