Yep. The IR version has the "feel".

Larry, thanks for the input. The location was cluttered. Now that the area has been cleaned up the winch would look better in its surroundings, but "they" took it away, also. |

Thanks, all. I appreciate the input.
My motive in this shot was to be a bit surreal. When the weather cooperates, and there is foliage, I'll try it in IR.

Thanks. This Statue has been the subject of several "opinions" over the past several decades. It has also been passed around a few times. It may have something to do with the expression on the "Doughboy's" face. I don't understand what the artist had in mind with that expression. Maybe it was an attempt to reflect the madness that takes over men placed in the pressure cooker that Politicians create for their own amusement. However, were it not for the "Yanks", the Kaiser and his Muslim buddies would have eventually won that War and "we" would not be here, today.
I'll probably go shoot the thing again, some day, in better lighting.
As a child I knew a couple WWI Vets. They never showed that perverted grin to me. They were decent, kind people. If they had demons, they kept them locked up. |

Nice job. My grandmother drove a 52 Buick for years that looked a lot like this one. Sorry it was never kept in the family. |

Nicely done. Thanks for showing it. We have a few of these, still standing in my State. |
