Awesome feedback!!! This was captured on a women's guided fly fishing steelhead trip on the John Day River in Oregon. Spey Casting is a type of cast using a double handled rod which is much longer, offering the ability to cast long distances on big rivers where steelhead tend to migrate. We had worked hard that day and were in a tired silly mood when we found this old CAT. Chics…just us girls! |

I tend to be a little heavy handed with the contrast and saturation sliders, but now I look at my image on this page and definitely needed some pop. You handled it very well. |

One thing is for certain with this group is we each come with experience and knowledge to help us understand capturing and processing at a higher lever. At first glance, I was bothered with the blotchiness of the image, but did not know why. Jerry's explanation helped me understand bits to a higher level. I suggest giving more space on the left. I like the composition as it was taken. |

I too am excited about the diversity of the images and the courage to step out of the comfort zone to try something new. I love abstracts and feel your final image is impressive considering what you started with. I'd like to see it without the distortion of her face. I feel it makes her face to narrow and takes away her identity. I might clone out the white spot under her left eye, but leave the rest. |

Still life is one genre I do not have a lot of skill set, so I will offer my critique from an overall perspective. I feel using the 3 subjects creates a balanced image, the color palette is soft, warm and complimentary. I like how the red pear sits next to the red/green pear, which then leads to the yellow pear. I wish to see more space at the top and the image straightened just a bit. I also like the texture you applied. |

Thank you for trying this new technique. I watched a video about using the Neural Filters on a couple of images. Some options work and some don't, but the options can be viewed in a blink!!! I like the idea of a winter affect on the pumpkin, but I'm not certain it worked for this image. I like the rich colors of the original much better. |
