22 Jun 20 Comment Thanks for the feedback. Joe I was torn by removing the tall dead tree trunk, but I was as mesmerized with it as i was of the waterfall. I wanted to remove the observation deck, but decided it removed too much of the original scene. Yes, I do live amongst some spectacular scenery and do my best to make the most of it. Jun 13th
22 Jun 20 Comment I like the original image best and I believe the best way to bring out the sky, clouds and foreground would be to use selections in PS and using curves and levels to bring out the detail and desired colors. Jun 13th
22 Jun 20 Comment I find the composition and processing fascinating. The pier and ocean provide timelessness to the image, but the ATV provides rip snorting readiness to explore the beach. The watercolor processing brings the objects together to create a peaceful image. I must explore Topas a bit more. Jun 13th
22 Jun 20 Comment This is one of the most breathtaking views in the Northwest. I can envision myself standing at the very spot Al stood trying to create the composition. I would like to see more of the tree on the left as it creates a nice frame. Perhaps cropping to a pano would allow this to happen. I feel the overall image is too saturated. Bump it down a couple notches and it will be spot on. This may also help the banding in the sky. Jun 13th
22 Jun 20 Comment What a fun shot to capture. I do like the top windows cropped out and I'd also try to clone the tree away from the left players hair. It would also be nice to clone the pole out of her left hand. Jun 13th
22 Jun 20 Comment The composition is nice and color palate pleasing. I too wish to see more sky. I will toss in a couple other ideas. One is using the low to high focus stacking. This allows one to get close to the foreground, but also keep everything else in focus. The other idea is multiple exposure blending to see if the sky could have been darker. I like to fog filter and am curious to know what it looks like in sepia tone. Jun 13th
22 Jun 20 Comment Beautiful leading line, contrasting textures and colors. The foliage in the back creates a nice frame for the cones. Joe's edits truly enhanced a beautiful image. Jun 13th
