The location of this image is south central Idaho along I-84, mile marker 124 on the northside of the freeway. The area is referred to as Paradise Valley. |

Well, first of all the original and finished image are the same. They both look pretty blah, so I am wondering what I sent Marti. I am traveling and will look when I get home. I really like the image Marti posted using Topaz. I have been avoiding Topaz, but may have to reconside. |

You captured the bird with nice separation of the legs and standing apart from the rocks. I wonder if the Serge Ramelli technique would offer up some definition in the bird. His basic recipe for editing in LR is slam the highlights to the left and the shadows to the right, adjust the blacks and whites (option/alt key and move slider to minimize spots) until there are minimal spots. Then assess what else needs done. If trying this recipe, I think backing off on the shadows and adding a bit of contrast and dehaze will make this image pop.

The final image leaves me with a surreal feeling. If this was your vision, I feel the highlights are very bright. I suggest toning the highlights down a bit and bumping up the shadows. I'd also remove the blur on the horses ear and collar post. |

I agree with Jerry's suggestions. The image has potential for a spooky feel You may even stretch the shadows to give it more of a ghostly feel to it. |

The colors of this image are beautifully complimentary. I personally would remove all of the tree hang in the upper left. My eye is immediately drawn to it. i also suggest cloning trees into the spot below the hanging tree to create a solid tree line that frames the field of flowers and two trees in the middle. This is definitely one I'd print and hang on my walls. |

Kudos to you for trying something so challenging. It does look like it was shot with a drone that got caught in a tornado! I believe cloning the left corner with the look of the other corners will finish the photo. |
