I love the angles and the towering mountains over the small village. A technique I have found helpful with images like this is to move the shadows slider all the way to the right and the highlights all the way to the left, then adjust the contrast slider to the desired level. Then I move the dehaze slider to the right for about a 10 adjustment. I'd also crop the bottom above the roof the building and clone out the cropped on island on the left. I also agree with Bob about darkening the sky to increase the drama. |

Thanks for the positive feedback. I did find out they are Sandhill cranes. This is one of 10 action photos I got of these birds. It was definitely one of those magical moments! |

I am not a fan of big crowds, so this image immediately gives me a feeling of claustrophobia! My issue for sure! I hope you had an enjoyable time!!
On the technical side, i would clone out the sign, slightly darken the windows in the back and straighten it. I'm also curious what it would look like slightly under exposed. |

I quite honestly like the color version. I don't feel the colors are over saturated. I have seen coloration like this. I love the color variations and all the different textures and angles. I do not have a problem with the cog in the middle. There are times when breaking the rule "don't put the subject in the middle" is ok. |

I love, love, love this image! The lines are exquisite with the varying shapes, curves and angles. The slight straightening was spot on! I'd rate this a 10! |

Welcome Dave! So, I am going to take a slightly different approach. I love the leading lines and agree the rail of the stairway and the stairs need to be lightened, but I would darken the right side of the stairway including the structure under the lights. I believe this will truly illustrate the scariness you are trying to achieve. |

The story was spot on! I instantly knew the era from which these boots came. I like the processing technique particularly the vivid texture. I would like to see a tad bit more space at the bottom and more of the boot on the right. |
