I like your vision on this image. Nice lighting and detail in the feathers and eye. My only suggestion is to play around with different backgrounds and other blending modes to make this stand out even more. Thanks for sharing this image. |

Wow, looks like your focus stacking process was a success. Super sharp. The only suggestion I have is that the green piece of the flower sticking out of the upper right of the flower may be distracting to some people so you might want to clone that out (or darken it somewhat). Really nice image. |

Welcome to the group. I like many things about this image. The composition is strong, the lighting is pretty much spot on, and the black background makes the flower pop. Although I think the focus points are sharp where they need to be, other people might prefer this image more in focus overall (which would be accomplished by a smaller f-stop (F/8-11) in combination with a slower shutter speed (1/125th or slightly faster), something like that anyway. The green leaf in the lower right area helps keep the flower from "floating" on its own. Really nice image. |

I really like the composition of this image. The popcorn looking flowers are something new to me. Thanks for sharing that. |

The timing of this shot is remarkable. I just came back from Bryce Canyon a few days ago. I haven't looked at the images yet. It is truly a one of a kind place. I really like the capture of the side lighting. The f/32 seems to have been a good choice to get everything from near to far in focus. I think I agree with Bill on having more of the foreground tree visible. Nicely done. |
