I am not a portrait photographer but what I did notice is the sharpness of the eyes of the subjects (which I hear is a must for portraits) and good detail in the clothing etc. I think objects (even people) are more flattering with some shadows included, especially for black and white photos (just my opinion). Overall I think it looks really nice to me. |

I like the color of the flowers, detail of the leaves, and blurred background. I have seen some of our members put tiny macro attachments on their cell phone and obtain some really nice closeup shots doing that. I think they purchased them from Amazon. |

To be honest I like the original image better than the final photo. If it were mine I would probably try blackening the background as well. I keep hearing in our camera club that with flowers to include at least part of the stem, so maybe it would be nice to see some stem with this image. I really like the flower with the spider web on the side. I may be inclined to go back (if the flower is still in the same state) and capture a macro shot with an emphasis on the spider web. |

Before reading the information about the image, my first thought was that there was a lot of preparation that went into this image. After reading the information it reaffirmed what I thought. Nicely prepared, composed, and executed. The only thing that I might suggest is to try cropping a little tighter up top, unless a certain dimension needs to be maintained. |
