Joe, I like what you did there. Kind of like if Georgia O'Keeffe designed a Rorschach test, with a little bit of a totem pole thrown in! Very imaginative. |

I think definitely the shadows in the dear have to be brought out more. Perhaps strangely, I prefer the original composition. The circle formed by all of the stones tends to add a frame around the dear while at the same time portraying a sense of the scale of the cemetery. You've captured a nice story here. |

What an unusual find -- I've never seen anything like it. At first glance I thought that was a horse standing on the staircase. Even though the structure is anchored in place the spiral turns of the ramp gives a sense of motion. I agree with Joe's comments on brightening and cropping, and I would add that a possible increase in saturation would help. |

By coincidence I just watched 'The Perfect Storm.' What a way to make a living. I like the treatment you gave this with the dramatic and fiery red sky. The question: is this a morning sky or an evening sky? The answer will reveal what kind of day this monument will have.... |

The coloring well suits the subject matter. You did a good job of bringing out the details from the dark original. Visually, the car is heavily weighted toward the bottom of the composition -- there may be too much negative space at top. Have you visited Old Car City in White, GA? This must be on your junkyard bucket list. |

I think the mono works the best owing to the improved contrast -- especially with the clouds, it has a little IR look to it. The tree branches seem to be pointing to the scene beyond, almost presenting the cacti to the viewer. |

Nice profile shot with appealing blue background. Lively colors of the bird contrasting with the drab brown leaves. The vertical orientation works well. I've been following some over landers on Youtube who go by the name of Curt and Snow. They've been driving down west Africa in their Mercedes van, and are currently in Etosha, if you care to check them out. |

Good shot. One thing I always try to be aware of is things that are in front of the subject. There appears to be an out of focus branch in front of the bird's legs, and this could be avoided by simply moving over a little; you would then have an unobstructed view of the whole bird. I like what Bruce did with raising the contrast. Also, if you don't mind, I changed the cropping in such a way as to narrow in on the bird. There may be too much of the background included, which adds too much negative space and doesn't help the composition. Still, lots to commend this image. |

Beautiful colors, sharpness and eye detail. The ambiance makes for a perfect soft box look. And, of course that tongue really adds to the composition, in fact might even make the shot. Great effort! |

Very interesting composition. The series of ripples in the water frame the birds nicely and show movement as they seem to glide effortlessly. I would like to see more detail brought out in the adults' faces by brightening the shadows, if possible. Nice story telling. |

Sharp, and good background bokeh which shows off the bird very well. I like how you rescued some detail of the breast feathers, which look blown out in the original. I like also the eye detail. Good job! |

It looks like it escaped from an 'Angry Birds' video game. Face perfectly captured, great background, great base for it to stand on and fine color balance. Perhaps crop down from the top just a smidge? Great work! |
