I love what you did with this -- it looks like some kind of futuristic, or scifi, crab -- and given enough development, I can see this 'creature' coming straight for you! Don't let Musk see this! Good exposure and textures. Also, the way that the cracks in the mud contrast with the man made artifacts of the drone adds to the pic. My only question: how did you determine "Amelia's" sex? |

I like the way each portal is different one from the other in both size and placement, which produces a nice rhythm and makes a great visual line leading toward the opening. Since the top of the image is a little on the bright side, perhaps you could crop down a bit. Interesting results! |

Ironic comment, Peggy, in that Magoo was mainly famous because he was so nearsighted that he could barely see where he was going! |

Nice detail and sharpness -- the texture of the rock surface was well captured. The angle of the lighting, and the soft box effect, gives a heavy, three dimensional feel. The vignetting adds to the overall look, but maybe a bit overdone in the lower right corner, as Marti points out. |

I agree with everyone that the main problem here is that the fountain is pretty much lost in the background. I did a crude edit to try and bring out the fountain, as well as bringing it up to a more vertical position. |

I think Kaylyn has a lot of interesting points, except perhaps I might add that there is too much negative space on the left. There are nice pattern formed with, and a contrast between, the man made and the organic, what with the waves coming on shore. Well done with the stroke. |

Nicely framed composition, and sharp and textured in most areas. The only thing is, at least on my monitor, the finished image looks as if the pic was taken in filtered sunlight, or perhaps through a minimal neutral density filter. |

Very well done image, with the pale blue and tans/golds complimenting each other. The bird is sharp and nicely exposed and balanced in terms of color. Catch light in the eye is good. Possibly crop in from the top and right a little? The yellow in the bird links up with the colors of the plants. Lovely to look at. |

Not much to add to comments of the other members. Subdued and bland background gives the bird front and center placement. I like how the left leg is in the process of releasing from the branch, while the right leg is still clutching the top while giving off the feeling that it is using that leg to launch off into flight. I hope you are making a print of this. |

Serene portrait of a bird relaxing in it's environment, perhaps looking ahead to the events of spring and summer. Two aspects of its surroundings -- land and water -- go well together. Well done reproducing the tan and hints of blue color in the water. As the grass may be a little bright near the top, perhaps it could be cropped down. |

Following up on Cindy's and Steve's points, I agree that there is too much negative space on the left, and that this does not add enough to the overall image. But, you did capture the action well and the wing positions are perfect. The feathers and eye are nice and sharp. Good color balance. The water acts as a great background and sets the subject off well. Not much noise considering your high ISO level. Good effort! |

Very 'berry' good shot! Beautiful color balance, sharpness and pose. Perfect eye and head presentation, all framed by the background. This looks like it could be a display in a nature museum. Are the shoulders really that smooth? A shame that they have disappeared from your neighborhood. |

PS -- Many of my 'original' images appear quite soft because I take screen shots of them out of Adobe Bridge. |
