Beautifully exposed and colored image -- looks like you may have used a polarizing filter. The rock in the foreground combining with the river provides a nice leading line to the 'V' shape of the two main hill sides. Probably my monitor, but parts of the clouds appear a little blown out. Good contrast and sharpness. Very well done composition! |

I suppose this image does work because of its ambiguity -- the "X man" could be passed out drunk or on drugs, or as you state, saving a space for the parade. This would be similar to a movie or TV series that left the ending hanging, such as the Sopranos or Breaking Bad. So maybe trying to interpret the meaning is part of the fun. Let's just say 'open to interpretation.' A video of this scene would probably score views on YouTube. |

An unusual take on your part, where the sheep are somewhat obscured by the grass, but that does portray a sense of a natural setting. Obviously, you can't control the sun angle, but as it is, you have the shade side facing you, which cuts back a lot of the animals' detail. On the other hand you do have a natural hair light. Perhaps try a soft dodging tool to brighten up the big sheep. |

Nice recovery from the original. Many different textures and contrasting shapes, as between the heavy barrels and the wiry look of the chairs. Funny little contradiction between having both an open and closed sign in the window. Maybe experiment with using various tools to 'straighten' up the left side of the image. |

Was the wheel turning at all? If so, you could have fun with a long exposure that would show the turning movement. The random placement of the rocks add a nice visual rhythm to the composition and leads the eye towards intersecting the line between the waterfall and the wheel. |

Very picturesque (no real pun intended) with beautifully saturated colors and great to look at. The ground surrounding the water acts as a very good framing device. Maybe don't cut off the corner on the lower right side? The irregular shape of the pond keeps it from being too symmetrical. The clouds in the sky add drama. Well done. |

Great picture! The pale green coloring adds a lot, as well as the delicate leaf pattern that forms as a frame for the bird. Nice and sharp, and the empty space directly behind the bird sets it apart really well. Great soft box lighting.
Perhaps work on eliminating the branch or twig lower right? |

The wings stretched out to their max and the elegant tip feathers displayed make for a very nice action shot. The underside of the wings are illuminated quite well. The subtle lighting and coloring of the cloud background adds overall. I would think that you could crop in, especially from the bottom, in order to reduce the negative space. |

Most wildlife have adapted to be able to blend into their backgrounds and this might demonstrate a problem with this image, in that the heron does not stand out enough from its surroundings, especially with the clutter of the leaves at top. You did capture a nice reflection. Bruce's version does help to make the bird stand out more. Your original 2 picture, with the flowing water acting as a 'soft' backdrop, might make for an interesting alternative. |

The diagonal formed by the eyes is striking. Maybe just a bias on my part, but perhaps the upper left corner is a bit distracting and is not adding to the composition; the story here is the birds' pose and perhaps crop in to emphasize that aspect. Also, maybe play around with brightening the birds. Good story capture. |

Good action capture with sharp detail. Slight halo, or ghost light, along the edges of the wings. You could possibly crop down a little more. |

The background, while nice and blurred, also has a pink hue to it which is rather unusual but effective. Sharp, with good catch light in the eyes. Very good soft box lighting. Maybe crop in from the left a little so the tree trunk doesn't carry as much visual weight. Very good image. |
